Beautyworld Dubai 2026: why Arab perfumery is at the center of the global market

From October 6 to 8, 2026, the Dubai World Trade Centre hosts the 30th edition of Beautyworld Dubai. For the fragrance sector, the edition marks an important step forward: the category occupies the largest perfume-dedicated space in the fair’s history, with more than 220 exhibitors spread across 19,000 square meters.

Perfumery gains its own space

The expansion of the fragrance area is more than a floor-plan change. It reflects the growing importance of the Middle East in the global perfume market. According to the event organizers, perfumery occupies Za’abeel Hall 7 with finished-fragrance brands, raw-material suppliers, creative houses and companies connected to the production chain.

Announced names include Lattafa Perfumes, Afnan Perfumes, Armaf, French Avenue, Riiffs, Gissah and Al Majed for Oud. The fair also brings together international giants responsible for fragrance creation and ingredient supply, such as Givaudan, dsm-firmenich, Symrise, Takasago, CPL Aromas and MANE.

Dubai moves from consumer market to global hub

For a long time, the Middle East was treated mainly as a major consumer market for intense perfume, oud, amber, musk and bakhoor. That picture no longer explains today’s market. Gulf houses now export at international scale, have gained visibility on social media and expanded distribution across Europe, the Americas and Asia.

At the same time, Dubai has strengthened its position as a meeting point for brands, manufacturers, distributors, retailers and suppliers. Beautyworld Dubai’s own scale shows how the region now participates not only in consumption, but also in creation, production, distribution and trend formation.

Gulf houses in the spotlight

The presence of Kuwaiti house Gissah and Saudi company Al Majed for Oud stands out. Gissah arrives with an already broad international retail network, while Al Majed for Oud represents one of the most established commercial traditions in Saudi perfumery.

Alongside them, brands such as Lattafa, Afnan and Armaf illustrate another transformation: Arab perfumery has moved beyond specialist stores and now competes directly for attention with designer, niche and luxury brands.

What to watch at Beautyworld Dubai 2026

More than new perfumes, the fair can indicate which movements are likely to gain strength in the coming months. It is especially worth watching:

  • new Gulf houses seeking international distribution;
  • growth of extraits and higher concentrations;
  • new interpretations of oud, amber, musk and gourmand;
  • raw-material and formulation technologies;
  • expansion of Arab brands into Latin America and Europe;
  • changes in packaging, positioning and storytelling.

The program also includes Next in Fragrance, dedicated to themes related to creation, raw materials, innovation and the future of the sector.

Why this matters to fragrance followers

Beautyworld Dubai has become one of the main places to observe the transformation of Arab perfumery into a global phenomenon. What was once treated as a regional segment now participates directly in trend formation, distribution competition and the creation of new olfactory references.

For Atlas Parfum, following the fair means watching not only which perfumes are launched, but also which houses, technologies and movements could influence the international market in 2027.
